Reviralis Ingredients: The Full List of 40 Label Names

Quick answer

The Reviralis ingredients list has 40 names on the label: 22 vitamins and minerals with printed amounts, and 18 more in one 661 mg proprietary blend with no single amounts. The sales page advertises a 41-in-1 formula, but the label counts 40. Capsule shell and fillers are listed separately as other ingredients.

The list01

What are the Reviralis ingredients?

The label lists 40 names. Twenty-two are vitamins and minerals with amounts; eighteen are in one blend with no amounts.

The vitamins and minerals are A, C, D, E, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, B6, folate, biotin, pantothenic acid, choline, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium and molybdenum.

The blend names, in label order, are DMAE bitartrate, L-glutamine, glutamic acid, green tea leaf extract, Bacopa monnieri extract, inositol, N-acetyl L-tyrosine, bilberry fruit extract, GABA, grape seed extract, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf powder, cinnamon bark extract, licorice root extract, boron (citrate), DHA, vanadyl sulfate and phosphatidylserine. The label adds "sunflower seed" for the last.

Other ingredients, which form the capsule: cellulose (the vegetable capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide. The label prints no allergen statement, so ask the seller before you assume anything about allergens.

The 18 blend names from the Supplement Facts panel, in label order. The blend prints 661 mg for all of them together, so the limits shown come from the order alone. The 22 vitamin and mineral lines sit above the blend with their own amounts. Other ingredients (vegetable capsule, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide) are not part of the blend.

40 or 4102

Is Reviralis really a 41-in-1 formula?

No, not by the label. Counting every name on the Supplement Facts panel gives 40, and the sales page's "41-in-1 formula" does not match it.

The likely reason is that folate and folic acid sit on one printed line, and a count that splits them reaches 41. That is our guess, and the seller has not said. The label wins on this site, so we use 40.

Eight groups03

How are the ingredients grouped?

We sorted the 40 names into eight groups, and each group has its own page with a profile for every name.

Label vs research04

Do the ingredient amounts match what studies used?

For the vitamins and minerals, mostly yes, at ordinary levels. For the blend, the label order allows far less than the doses in studies.

Take bacopa. Memory trials gave about 300 mg a day of extract (StatPearls, Bacopa monnieri), while fifth place in a 661 mg blend of 18 names allows at most 132.2 mg. Phosphatidylserine is usually taken at 100 to 200 mg a day (Cleveland Clinic, Phosphatidylserine), and last place allows at most 36.7 mg. These are ceilings from arithmetic, not measured contents.

The bars show the gap. A study of one ingredient says nothing about this mixed capsule.

Any link to herpes?05

Is any Reviralis ingredient known to help with herpes?

No source we found ties any of the 40 names to fewer or milder herpes outbreaks in people. Some have lab or small-study results for other uses, and that is where the trail ends.

A Cochrane review of cold-sore prevention found no evidence that lysine or one other supplement worked (Chi 2015, Cochrane: Preventing Cold Sores). Zinc and vitamin C are the names people mention most. The vitamin C fact sheet reports that regular supplements have not cut colds in the general population (NIH ODS, Vitamin C), and says nothing for herpes.

What to do with that

Keep taking any antiviral you were prescribed. See a clinician for a diagnosis, because other conditions look like herpes. Call 911 for trouble breathing, a seizure, chest pain, swelling of the face or throat, or sudden confusion with severe headache and stiff neck.

Names to ask about06

Which Reviralis ingredients need a second look?

Five names deserve a question to your pharmacist: licorice, green tea, vanadyl sulfate, vitamin B6 and bilberry.

Licorice root extract

Glycyrrhizin can raise blood pressure and lower potassium (NCCIH, Licorice Root). The label does not say whether it was removed.

Green tea leaf extract

Concentrated extracts have been linked to liver injury, and caffeine content varies (NCCIH, Green Tea).

Vanadyl sulfate

Seventeenth in order, so up to 38.9 mg of compound. About 31% of it is vanadium, and the adult upper limit is 1.8 mg (National Academies, trace-element DRIs). The label does not say the limit is passed.

Vitamin B6, 12 mg

That is 706% of the Daily Value but about an eighth of the 100 mg upper limit (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). Other B6 products add up.

Bilberry may add to a blood thinner. The label asks anyone on blood thinners, antidepressants or nervous or heart medicine to talk to a provider first. See the medicine check.

Where to read more07

Where can you read each ingredient in detail?

Each group page prints a table per name, with the label wording, amount and a source.

FAQ08

Reviralis ingredient questions

What are the main ingredients in Reviralis?

Twenty-two vitamins and minerals with printed amounts, such as vitamin C 125 mg and zinc 10 mg, plus a 661 mg blend led by DMAE bitartrate, L-glutamine and glutamic acid. The label does not rank any as the main active.

Does Reviralis contain lysine or lemon balm?

Neither appears on the label. The 40 names are the ones listed here, and lysine and lemon balm are not among them. If another site says otherwise, trust the printed Supplement Facts panel.

Is Reviralis made with natural ingredients?

Partly. The sales page says 100% natural, but the vitamin E is the synthetic DL form, and the label does not say the source of the other vitamins. Natural also does not mean free of side effects.

Does Reviralis contain caffeine?

The label prints no caffeine amount. It lists green tea leaf extract, which can carry caffeine, so the sales page's stimulant-free line cannot be checked from the label. Ask the seller for the figure.

What are the other ingredients in Reviralis capsules?

Cellulose (the vegetable capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide. They hold and release the powder. The label prints no allergen statement.
